Tale Of 2 Cities: Uvalde & Indy Deaths

So a private citizen heroically shoots & kills rifleman after he shot & killed 3 at a busy mall, while report on Uvalde school massacre of 21 claims HUNDREDS of cops sucked their thumb while slaughter unfolded?

As the WSJ coverage noted, it took an “armed civilian” and “Good Samaritan” to shoot & kill “a 22-yr-old man with a rifle” who had already killed 3 people in a food court outside Indianapolis on Sunday. Yet, the preliminary Texas House of Representatives Report on the Uvalde tragedy already concluded that “nearly 400 (heavily armed) officers responded to the scene, but a lack of leadership and communication resulted in a delayed confrontation with the gunman” as “nineteen children and two teachers were killed.”

Bottom line: “No one took command” so that “376 officers from local, state & federal agencies” may have “rushed to Uvalde’s Robb Elementary”, but for more than an hour “effectively left the inexperienced local school district police department to lead the response.” Not sure, many folks buy the report’s “inexperienced” take. In Indianapolis, it seems it took ONE man with common sense and guts to prevent greater tragedy from unfolding.
