Texas Gov Slimes TdA for Crimes

It’s common knowledge now that a brutal Venezuelan Gang is expanding its deadly reach in the US, yet Biden Administration, incl Harris, don’t seem to think it’s a priority. A GOP gov does & threw the book at them.

Actually, Team Joe did declare the Tren de Aragua a “significant transnational criminal organization in July.” But, the gesture needs to be followed up with action, argues Texas Gov Greg Abbott, as he declared the gang a “foreign terrorist organization” & established a database to verify if arrests being made by feds or state officers are TdA members or not. As quoted by Fox News, Abbott promised, “We will bring the full weight of the government against the TdA.” By declaring the gang “terrorists,” the article says, it opens the door for Texas to “use the courts to halt their operations, use civil asset forfeiture to take [its] property and use enhanced criminal penalties to keep them in jail & behind bars for longer periods of time.”

This, btw, is the gang that “hit the headlines over reports of a takeover of apartment buildings in Aurora, Colorado.” And, after being founded in Venezuelan prisons, TdA is believed to have “moved north over the last decade … with many believed to have arrived by coming across the southern border as part of the sharp increase in migration in recent years.” Isn’t that what Trump has been saying, but being largely dismissed by the progressive MSM & pols?
