The View Apology To TPUSA A Poor Defense?
So ABC’s “The View” was forced to “apologize” to 5K college kids for falsely linking them to WWII loonies but defamation lawsuit still on table? ABC’s best D for Whoopie & Joyless is “panelists are serial blowhards”?
As Turning Point USA’s Charlie Kirk told Fox News about The View’s “smear … We’re not going to let his go.” Nor should they, said radio host Jason Rantz who believes ABC News staffers are “disgusted” at the defamatory commentary made on the ABC sorry excuse for a “show.” Note, how it was co-host Sara Haines who first apologized to Turning Point USA on Wednesday after “inaccurately tying the conservative group” of students to neo-Nazis. But, why wasn’t Whoopie Goldberg and Joy Behar doing the apologizing since they arguably did the most damage? As it turned out, on Thursday, it was Whoopi's turn to say, "my bad ... for making "assumptions about other people." Rantz, btw, was a speaker at the TPUSA event trashed by The View and opined: “I thought it was rather a curious selection to have Sara Haines read the [original] apology, that was written by lawyers for ‘The View,’ & not necessarily [those] who were responsible for the commentary.”
Rantz isn’t the only one who went on to note that Whoopie & Joy are infamous for shooting their mouths off without full or accurate information on this, that or the other topic. Is the last laugh on them, then, as their habitual loose lips may turn out to be their best, if inadequate, defense in court? Let's see if Joyless is next to apologize or maybe get sued ...
