Today’s Kids Rule Parents Who Fear Them?

A Fox item centered on why a Russian-Brit comedian’s anti-woke speech resonated with millions: “Adults are afraid of children.” Having raised 4 of my own & dealt with many a parent along the way … I’d too often agree.

Sure, back in this Boomer’s childhood there was peer pressure, but never like the kind my now 30-Somethings had to deal with as kids in the 90’s. For one thing, drug peddling & use has exploded as gangs & traffickers got bolder & bolder. And, sexual promiscuity has arguably gone off the charts. Meanwhile, the “Rule of Law” is now seen by many a Jack & Jill as a joke. It goes on. But, the bottom line is that many parents can see their own kids are more effectively controlled by other forces than themselves. That’s something to be scared of.

Consider the breaking down of the glues that make society livable let alone uplifting: The disillusionment with organized religion & the moral precepts it still tries to teach, despite its own hellish corruption problems. A progressive academia gone wild as it increasingly pretends to know all the answers to their self-proclaimed “existential” problems, rigs the “studies” to make sure prove their naïve solutions are legit, only to find years later they’ve made things doubly worse. The greedy, poll-driven social & MSM that sold its soul … and accuracy … by replacing objective journalism with subjective propaganda that’s geared, not to debating all sides to an issue, but a hand-picked political agenda du jour. The youth-obsessed Hollywood that pretends “celebrities” are not only to be mindlessly idolized, but that their oft-idiotic thoughts are golden. And, oh, the politicians. Throughout history full of BS, the kids can see they are still famously so, but don’t care, since all the above have taught them to sell their hearts, minds & energy to the Golden Ticket To Knowwhere. But wait. Does any of that mean parents shouldn’t have the guts to properly educate the kids they say they love? At all costs?
