Trump’s DOJ & DOD Middle Men Purge

Pundits are panning Trump’s appointments of Hegseth & Gaetz to Justice & Defense. They suggest it’s to troll Dems or blow up bloated, corrupt budgets. But, what if it’s also to cut legs off the 2 depts’ career do nothings?

Ain’t THAT latter read No. 47’s real deal? Didn’t Trump repeatedly say how aghast he was during the past four years over the ugly political prosecutions by DOJ against himself & supporters? Ditto regarding the epic Afghanistan withdrawal fiasco? Doesn’t he think Joe’s AG Garland is a boob? And, that the “Generals responsible for Afghanistan” essentially caved in to White House demands to stupidly trash his own plan to withdraw from that Middle East money pit, but in an orderly fashion & only after the existing regime’s ongoing control was guaranteed? Meanwhile, as a billion-dollar entrepreneur, doesn’t Trump know first-hand how his hotel & resort empire is really run on a daily basis, not by ambitious, self-serving Ivy League executives, but by smart, dedicated front line troops?

In short, what’s suggested here is that the new COMMANDER IN CHIEF Trump, at least in those two bloated & underperforming federal behemoths, is “cutting out the usual middlemen” & intending to more personally be engaged in promoting and/or recruiting the “Few Good Men & Women,” the best of the best, to serve at the top going forward? There’s certainly a bounty of good mid- to high-level officers and lawyers in Justice & Defense to help him reinvigorate if not reinvent these essential executive departments with new leadership.
