Tucker Carlson gets Jan 6 riot footage to test Dems’ narrative during hearings they controlled & vows to air it all in order to correct any one-sided takes by the monopolists? Is a promised fairer turnaround fair play?

You can see why the Democrats are angry about the Fox News host & his producers finally having (by hook or crook) access to more than 40,000 hours of security tapes previously under the control of the investigating pols. It’s understandable they are worrying about possibly being either victims of selective editing (as Mr. Trump tirelessly complained he was by them) or being exposed as perpetrators of selective editing. As Mr. Carlson said on the air: “Producers have been looking at this stuff and trying to figure out what it means & how it contradicts or not the story we’ve been told for more than two years” about what happened on Jan. 6.

What we do know as the Fox article reminds: “The [WSJ] reported earlier this year that the Justice Dept has charged more than 900 people in connection with the riot” while “Mr. Trump was impeached in the [Democrat-controlled] House on a count of inciting an insurrection.” During those Congressional hearings, the Jan 6 Cte showed only some security video, including ballyhooed footage of rioters roaming the building. Maybe the Jan 6 Cte should thank Mr. Carlson for doing what it should have done from the get go, i.e., not monopolize the tapes to enhance its credibility, rather than leaving whatever it felt on the cutting room floor?
