Typical Tucker Tweet Bashes But Doesn’t Bite
Tucker Carlson’s Twitter vid 2 days after Fox ouster criticizes level of debate on key issues in MSM & society, but doesn’t bite sour apple offered by critics pointing to his now famous feud with colleagues & Mgt over 2020 election.
Typical Tucker. As he so often did in his nightly monologues, Tucker in his 2-minute video called out the DC Swamp, MSM, coastal elites, & extremists of all colors for what he believes to be their hypocrisy; average folks, too, if they take it all in without a peep: “Where can you still find Americans saying true things," Tucker wondered. "There aren’t many places left. But there are some. And that’s enough … As long as you can hear the words, there is hope.” Yet, nada on his sudden exit or the folks in power who made it happen.
The silence on that score had some pundits stumped. If you read Fox’s sister news outlet aka WSJ’s coverage carefully, however, Tucker surely knew the why & expected others to open their eyes to the obvious too. (Besides, a generous parachute probably included a speak no evil clause.) Clearly, what got Tucker fired was his own growing angst as reflected in a trove of emails & texts, some vulgar, bitterly attacking those colleagues & managers at Fox who got the network sued for defamation by Dominion Voting Systems. That is, after they aired “false claims by hosts & guests” that Dominion helped “rig” the 2020 presidential election. Tucker let insiders know, if privately, what he really thought about airing the debunked Trump narrative too much, too often. And when Dominion’s lawyers got a hold of those missives, Tucker was destined to be a great witness at the impending trial … for the PLAINTIFFS, not Fox. Hence, the 11th hour $787 MILLION settlement. Sure, liberal rags sensationally suggested Tucker was fired cause advertisers were wary of his controversial views or was involved in some “hostile workplace environment” lawsuit. But, No. 1 rating was No. 1 rating & how long did it take CNN to rid itself of scandal litigation-plagued anchors Cuomo & Lemon? In the end, unrepentant, inconsolable, Tucker no longer saw himself as part of Team Fox ... & vice versa. It was an eye-opening 10-yr gig while it lasted.
