UK’s PM Resigns? Is Queen Or No. 46 Next?

As UK’s Johnson resigns one wonders: What kind of system triggers electoral chaos by allowing appointed cabinet to stab the PM in the back & do nothing sovereign will exit “Divine Right” office only via coffin?

The WSJ's original account put PM Johnson’s “astonishing fall from grace” this way: “The step bookends an extraordinary 36 hours in British politics in which more than 50 ministers & senior government aides resigned, leaving the British gov’t in a state of paralysis.” And, for what? “Mr. Johnson ultimately was felled because his lawmakers could no longer trust him to tell them the truth. Earlier this year, [he] was fined by British police for breaking Covid-19 lockdown rules by attending a party in Downing Street…Most recently, Johnson apologized for appointing a deputy chief whip despite knowing he had a history of allegedly making unwanted advances toward men, a debacle that proved a final straw for many in his party.”

Huh? Those are “debacles”? Has anyone on that side of the Pond heard of the Crown’s alleged cover up of kinky Prince Andrew’s notorious scandals? Meanwhile, Joe Biden keeps sleeping in the WH, despite his Pinocchio-like “I know nothing about” Hunter’s laptop fiasco, the botched Afghan withdrawal, more folks dying of Covid under his watch than Trump’s, historic crime rates thanks to his DOJ’s boomeranging progressive “social justice” policies, runaway inflation due largely to insane federal spending & uncontrolled daily border crossings? BTW: In a subsequent op ed, the WSJ editorial board elaborated that what ultimately turned off Johnson's UK colleagues as well as voters alike was his disingenuous ploy of "campaigning as a conservative, but governing from the center-left" on such issues as Brexit, warring on fossil fuels, higher taxes & an ever-expanding bureaucracy.
