WaPo’s Flip Flop On China’s COVID Lockdown Batty?

It’s not quite as bad as the Chicago Tribune calling Dewey president before all the votes were in for Truman, but Washington Post’s belated call for “serious” investigation into COVID origins stinks as bad as bat droppings …

Owned by Amazon titan Jeff Bezos, WaPo’s editorial board now says even President Biden’s wanting an “intelligent review” ain’t enough & “it is time to move beyond easy scapegoating and drill down for the truth.” Apparently, after more than a year dissing President Trump for daring to suggest the Wuhan Lab of Horrors might be “ground zero” for unleashing the deadly global pandemic (rather than a nearby live food market), the editors finally concede “China’s resistance is a lingering obstacle.”

Of course. From the get go, those without rose colored glasses could see China was not giving the outside world access to either the ballyhooed “market” or the site known for its lax security while creating nasty viruses; nor was the PRC fully providing all relevant scientific data to the complicit God knows WHO. So, WaPo is one MSM leader who finally agrees with Mr. Trump? That his successor “should actively support the creation of an independent commission that would examine virus origins and the nation’s response to the crisis. Congress ought to join in”? Problem is, as with fighting any cancer that's spread until Stage 4 (& its origins can no longer be recognized), it may be a case of too little, too late.
