Why Aren’t Joe’s Price Gouging Cops at PGA?

As PGA Tourney charges fans $19 for a beer & $16 for a salad, one might ask where are Warren’s Price Gouging Cops Biden wants to fight the inflation HE created? Score a double “bogey” for what Mickelson called the “greedy” bunch?

2017 PGA champ Justin Thomas reacted to the prices at Southern Hills where the 2022 tourney will play out: “$18 (!!!!!!) for a {Michelob) beer … uhhh what. Gotta treat the fans better than that! When asked about his earlier tweet, Thomas explained, “I was blown away … You want people to come to the tournament.”

Ironically, Punxsutawney Phil Mickelson will NOT be at the tourney, not because of the outlandish price tag put on the suds, but because he’s still fleeing from the media & PGA execs pissed at his actively participating in a supposedly unpatriotic Saudi-funded “alternative” tourney. According to Phil, the Saudis may be murderers (of a journalist) & violators of women’s rights, but he thought they’d be great leverage against the “greedy” PGA he says, has been abusing him and others. Never mind this year’s $15M PGA purse. The Saudis were willing to pay Mickelson, a 3-time PGA Tourney champ, millions just to show up a few times each year. But, at least, the oil gouging Saudis & their OPEC teammates would not dare charge $18 for a Michelob Ultra or $19 for a Stella Artois. (The cups damn well better be bio-degradable.)
