Wild West Hollywood Defunds Its Cops

As if in movie “Dumb & Dumber,” West Hollywood voted to cut its sheriff’s funding as crime there soars. Yo, Adrienne: Why not send them LA’s homeless, drug addicts & mentally ill to boot?

As Fox News reported, “A trendy Los Angeles County community has voted to reduce law enforcement funding despite escalating crime that was up 137% earlier in the year and public backlash,” thereby leaving the burg, West Hollywood, with five fewer deputies to patrol its increasingly dangerous streets. Meanwhile, the city’s council by a 3-2 margin “approved increasing funding for a cultural arts festival.”

How progressive! Da. “Most of the residents and businesses I have heard from are opposed to cutting the Sheriff’s budget,” Mayor Lauren Meister told Fox. “They are outraged that people and organizations from outside our city are dictating to Council how to run our city. The narrative that we can have ‘either Sheriff’s or social services’ or ‘either Sheriff’s or unarmed security teams’ is false.” You think?
