Woke Wheaton Whiffs At Jesus’ “Service”
Academia’s woke DEI mania may have reached its zenith as Wheaton College, once known as a bastion of Christian education, is writing the word “service” out of its Bible & tells students to think “sacrificial co-laboring” instead.
What’s the Biblical term for “nutso?” As Tim Scheiderer wrote in a Fox News op ed, Wheaton has often been called the “Harvard of Christian Schools” in a leafy Chicago suburb due to its “historic Christian faith … [that] … “has always upheld the goodness of the created order” based largely on the written Word in the Bible. But, no longer, as a series of ideas taken straight from today’s woke DEI gospel, including CRT & transgenderism, have possessed the faculty. Never mind, for instance, Jesus’ once sacrosanct admonition to His Disciples: “He who must be first must be the very last … & the SERVANT of all” … “Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve & to give His life as a ransom for many.”
Now, the education department of “the school that houses the works of Rev. Graham, C.S. Lewis & J.R.R. Tolkien" is no longer just “commending” Marxism, it wants to hear those beautiful words, “sacrificial co-laboring” because Jesus’ use of the word “service” supposedly “may invoke power dynamics across socio-economic, racial, & cultural eyes.” What hypocrisy by the self-appointed effete mandators? Maybe if they’d notice the log in their own eyes, theys would’nt see so many specks in their students’ eyes?
