Would Sherlock Trade Fentanyl 4 Heroin?

Fentanyl replaced Sherlock’s preferred heroin & cocaine benders, but what’s behind overdose deaths claiming thousands of American lives may not just be the pushers but, in non-accidental cases, users’ stupid use of their God-given Free Will?

As Fox News wrote of the “opioid crisis,” fentanyl has eclipsed other illicit drugs.” While “nearly one million people have died of drug overdose deaths in the past two decades, Fox concedes, “a growing majority of those deaths in recent years have involved dangerous synthetic opioids like fentanyl.” How dangerous is the “F” drug? 50 TIMES STRONGER THAN HEROIN AND 100 TIMES STRONGER THAN MORPHINE. “First synthesized by Belgian chemist Paul Janssen as a painkiller in 1960, it proved to be a useful drug to help patients with traumatic injuries.” The problem is, because it can be easily reproduced in a lab, it’s way cheaper, hence, way more popular. As the drug “made its way onto the black market,” espe since 2000, “it truly began destroying lives & communities across the US”, until the CDC estimates more than 70% of 108k US citizens dying of drug overdoses in 2021 involved fentanyl & other synthetics.

The “experts” told Fox about the “market forces” (price & availability) driving the switch from the addictive Sherlock Holmes drugs to synthetics. Most of the blame is placed on the foreign “dealers who realized they could make much more money by cutting other drugs with fentanyl.” Supposedly, “no one saw it coming.” Yet, Congress banned OTC sales of cold medicines containing pseudoephedrine back in 2005. The Covid “pandemic made me do it” is another excuse offered. So is a “lack of education.” What about deductive reasoning to arrive at the other “F” word aka “foolishness” for going anywhere near the stuff, unless medically mandatory? Elementary?
