WSJ: Hillary Did It

Can’t ignore what may be dirtiest politics trick ever. “Hillary Did It,” notes WSJ, as her “2016 campaign manager [testifies] she approved a plan to plant false Russia claim with a reporter.” Did Ben Arnold do as much harm to Republic?

At least, we “now know the dirty trick for the ages came from the top – candidate Hillary Rodman Clinton” [per] the testimony Friday by 2016 Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook in federal court.” Mr. Mook, of course, was testifying in special counsel John Durham’s trial of Michael Sussmann, the lawyer accused of lying to the FBI when taking claims of a secret Trump connection to Russia’s Alfa Bank to the FBI & saying he wasn’t acting on behalf of any client. Sussmann’s defense in pleading not guilty is that the FBI should have known he was Hillary’s lawyer since it was widely known he was often her mouthpiece, but just not in this case. Sure. Prosecutors, in response, are presenting evidence that Sussmann worked with Fusion GPS to produce the collusion claims on behalf of the Clinton campaign & feed them to the Comey-led FBI. BTW, an FBI agent has also testified a “bureau analysis quickly rejected the claims as implausible.” Still, Mr. Mook, Jake Sullivan (now Pres Biden’s national security adviser), comm director Jennifer Palmieri & campaign chr John Podesta got Hillary’s ok to plant the story in Slate, a left-leaning online pub. Hillary has not disavowed the bogus info to this day.

WSJ concluded: “Most of the press will ignore this news, but the Russia-Trump narrative Mrs. Clinton sanctioned did enormous harm to the country. It disgraced the FBI, humiliated the press & sent the country on a 3-yr investigation to nowhere. Vladimir Putin never came close to doing as much disinformation damage.”
